With the van parked for winter, our family is still in a transition phase as we explore the mountains and trails in our new hometown of Angel Fire, New Mexico. We are settling in with just barely enough time to prepare for the long winter months ahead. Snow DogsWinter is Here in Northern New Mexico
The Bobcat PassSitting at 9,820' elevation, the van roared over the pass unlike earlier in the summer when giving us extreme panic attacks and breaking down on the side of the road. Fall has come and gone in the valley, and we are stoked to ski and snowboard the mountains of New Mexico as a family this winter! So what's the catch? Winter is here, but our winter clothing and gear is back in Tennessee. We are still working out the plan to fish our stuff out of the shed back in Bowmantown. With a few failed flight bookings, we have decided to try Uship.com rather than fly back to Tennessee and drive a Budget truck 1,400 miles back to New Mex. No options are ruled out, however, so we may still juice some last minute traveling out of the weeks to come. In the meantime, the snowy peaks off in the distance continue to call as they yearn to have their story told at the summit. I reckon it's time to invest in some snowshoes.

Hi, Jon! Thank you for asking! Collin started working as a Digital Marketing Specialist for the ski resort here in town just over a month ago. There seems to be quite a few seasonal jobs and healthcare jobs over in Taos.

Also, housing is actually affordable in comparison to salary and cost of living expenses. Groceries can be a bit high, so we usually drive over the pass to Taos and stock up! :) Leave a Reply. |
