After a couple inches of snow over the weekend, I threw Olin on my back and we headed off to explore a new trail a few miles down the road. It was in the high 30s as we bundled up for an early morning hike with the loyal Taco. I decided to take turns bringing the dogs on hikes, so we can double up on their training and exercise.

With the van parked for winter, our family is still in a transition phase as we explore the mountains and trails in our new hometown of Angel Fire, New Mexico. We are settling in with just barely enough time to prepare for the long winter months ahead.
We took a drive into Cimarron Canyon on our chase for the infamous Clear Creek Falls trail. September is prime time hunting season! With the hike being on Wildlife Game & Fish lands, we jumped at the opportunity to explore the canyon this week where all hunting was on a mandated break. The Aspens are nearing their peak of sunshine yellows, so it was a beautiful time to get outside!
