On a cross country road trip in the summer of 2015, Allie decided that she was ready to make her home the Idaho Teton Valley for the winter. While searching Craigslist for housing, she came across an ad posted by Collin for a single room in Driggs. Little did she know, this would change their lives forever. After contacting Collin about the ad that he posted, it was determined that things would not work out with the housing situation due to Allie's two dogs, Dobby and Monty. They went their separate ways. Allie road tripped north through Canada and decided to head back to Tennessee for school and to create a tiny house lifestyle. Collin found a new roommate just in time for an epic ski season. Allie and Collin remained Facebook friends during that time. Winter rolled through and the two didn't have much contact. As spring arrived the two began communicating again from a simple picture Allie had posted on her Snapchat Story that read "Costa Rica $200 round-trip!" Collin responded to the picture saying, "Can I join?!" This single gesture stole Allie's attention, and the two began to communicate on a frequent basis. From there, they learned that the two of them had much more in common besides a love of the Tetons. They found similar interests in travelling, music, animals, the outdoors, and adventure above all. They were falling in love with each other from opposite sides of the country. After Allie finished school, she took a detour through Florida to visit her father and leave Monty with him for the summer until she could find lodging. She made the 30 hour drive across the United States from Tennessee to Florida to Idaho to satisfy her wanderlust and desire to live in the Tetons and meet Collin in person for the first time. From the night she arrived, the two spent every single day together exploring, growing, and learning from one another. They hiked, camped, and got to know each other starting in May.
