Quickly learning that there might be a bit more work going into this project than orginially anticipated.
Tuesday morning while folding the couch into a bed, I forgot to flip the drivers seat forward and tore a section of the seat. Spent the next morning sewing up that mistake. Luckily my mom taught me how to sew! Thankfully that was an easy fix, unlike the problem we're working on now. I’m stumped on a dashboard issue. When the headlights are off, all gauges and lights work perfectly normal. When I turn the headlights on, the gas gauge, battery level, oil pressure, and engine temp gauges all die, the turn signals also get super slow. The other night I was driving about 45 minutes, and about 20 Mins into the drive it all started working fine, until I was about 5 mins from home, then it started acting odd again. Battery connections look good. Pulled the fuse, it looked good. So when the key is out of the ignition, and I pull the headlight switch on, the gas gauge dies below E. Before I pull the headlights on, the gauge shows the correct fuel level. Allie & I went to take it for a spin this evening. I went out to start the van and let it warm up for a few minutes. We got in the van and I put it in reverse, when I did so the van stalled out, and would not start again. When I turn the ignition, the lights flicker off until I release, and nothing else happens. Guess that will be tomorrow's project.
