Sometimes life gets chaotic and we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and stressed without taking time to remedy with simple solutions. I caught a bad case of the blues, especially after an overwhelming overload of after-pregnancy hormones. I spent weeks not wanting to get out of bed or leave the house and still catch waves of the same old feeling. So after gaining some inspiring advice and doing some research, I have found A. that we are always improving on the level of humanity and B. A lot of these feelings spawn from the very basic roots of our diets. Here is a health kick to start if you want to feel better mentally and physically. It really helps to kick the blues. You need to ask the people around you for emotional support, because it is not an easy and quick fix. Anything worth having takes time and you will see change starting in your mental health. You must give this one full month to fully appreciate results, and then you will see how it becomes easier over time to consume healthier foods and the effects they have on your body. THE BASICS: Cut out dairy altogether. Switch to Almond Milk. Goat Cheese. Greek Yogurt. No carbs (Cut out the majority of bread products and all pastas). Lots of veggies (Preferably fresh but no-salt canned items will work). Fruit moderately. Try to cut out as much sugar as you can (No candies and especially no chocolate). Limit caffeine (I try to cut it out altogether) Read all labels! |
